Note: If you are certain your child has been abused, contact the authorities immediately to ensure the safety of your child and others, and then contact us to discuss your situation.

As parents, we understand the importance of our children’s safety.  Putting that safety in another person’s hands is always scary, yet for the majority of us, it’s inevitable. We entrust our children to daycare providers, schools, nannies, etc and we expect professional, safe child care.  Unfortunately, that is not always the case.  Physical, mental and sexual abuse happens to children every day and when it does, we are here to help.

How Can I Tell If Abuse Has Occurred?

Sadly, child abuse is often allowed to happen because children are afraid to talk about what happened.  Because of this, it’s important to recognize the signs of abuse:

  • Extreme behavioral changes and mood swings
  • Acting out, especially in a sexual nature
  • Sudden aggressiveness
  • Infantile and clingy behavior
  • Fear of the daycare or of certain places or people

What Should I Do?

You always investigate any fears of abuse.  Nobody knows your child like you do and if you notice physical or emotional changes, then always err on the side of caution.  Talk to your child and other parents at the same facility.  If you still suspect abuse, contact local child protective services and law enforcement.  Chances are, if your child is being abused, so are other children.  The sooner you act, the sooner other children are out of harm’s way as well.

Once you have ensured your child’s safety and contacted the appropriate authorities, contact our experienced daycare abuse attorneys.  We have represented many different families in a wide variety of local and national cases.  We will protect your child’s legal rights and hold those responsible accountable.

There is no cost to discuss your case with our daycare abuse lawyers and you will never owe us anything if we do not secure a settlement on your child’s behalf.  Remember, you have time limits for filing a claim; the sooner you call, the better.
